On July 1, 2005, Archbishop Raymond L. Burke altered “the canonical status of the Parish of Saint Cecilia in the city of Saint Louis, Missouri, from that of a territorial parish to the canonical status of a personal parish for the faithful of Hispanic language and heritage.”

The mission of the parish, therefore, is principally directed to the care of Hispanics within the Archdiocese of Saint Louis. The majority of the services are conducted in Spanish.

Above all, our mission is the glory of God and the salvation of souls.
